Where Women Lead and Communities Grow

The Junior League of Corpus Christi brings together women who want to make a meaningful difference in the Coastal Bend while growing as leaders themselves.

Through volunteer action, collaboration, and training, JLCC prepares women to lead with confidence, serve with purpose, and create lasting impact in their communities.

Since 1944, our members have helped shape initiatives that strengthen families, support local nonprofits, and respond to emerging community needs. Today, that work continues through thoughtful service, leadership development, and strong partnerships across the Coastal Bend.

More Than Volunteering

Membership in the Junior League is about more than giving your time. It is about building the skills, experience, and relationships that empower women to lead in every part of their lives.

JLCC members gain hands-on experience in areas such as:

• nonprofit governance and program development
• fundraising and community partnerships
• event planning and volunteer management
• team leadership and organizational strategy

Many women discover talents they never expected while contributing to meaningful community work alongside other motivated and engaged women.

A Community of Women Who Show Up

The women of JLCC come from many professions and backgrounds, but they share a common goal: making their time and energy count.

Our members value collaboration, accountability, and service that produces real results for the community. Within the League, women build lasting friendships, support one another’s growth, and develop the confidence to lead both inside and outside the organization.

Beginning the Journey

Women who join the Junior League of Corpus Christi begin with a New Member Program starting each August.

This experience introduces members to the League’s mission, structure, and community impact while providing leadership training and mentorship from experienced members.

During this first year, New Members:

• learn how the League operates and serves the community
• participate in training and leadership development opportunities
• contribute to a committee or New Member project
• build relationships with fellow members and League leaders

By the end of the program, members are prepared to take on active roles within the League and continue growing as leaders.
