The Junior League’s powerful new initiative dedicated to elevating the conversation on how to reduce pressure and stress in women’s lives, created by the mental overload of “doing it all.” This launch is an opportunity for us to show the strength of our network and bring international attention to an issue that affects every woman, everywhere. Women today face unprecedented mental overload; unique aging challenges, balancing caregiving, financial security and workplace stress, societal expectations, or comparing ourselves to what is curated on social media. Together we’re saying, enough.
We know there isn’t a single solution — but we believe change begins with conversation. This initiative is our first step in sparking that dialogue, creating awareness, and moving toward meaningful impact.
Every Woman. All Things. is about action, awareness, and collective change. With the power of our network, we will bring international attention to women’s mental well-being through creating awareness and action around areas such as shared responsibilities, issues women face as they age, caregiving, workplace challenges and financial insecurity. We will push for the changes women need and deserve.
Together in our communities, we will hold honest conversations, help find solutions and lead systemic changes to make a profound impact on the world.
Decades of research and feedback from women have shown that we are often the primary caregivers in and outside our households. We care for aging family members, handle household matters and volunteer to make our communities better. Oftentimes, this can be overwhelming and can present as women being overloaded. We, as a women’s organization, want to help make women’s lives easier and to help women master the juggle through awareness campaigns, advocacy efforts, and cultural change.
This effort to make a change can be done by Junior Leagues educating women in their communities on this issue, finding solutions to the issues that cause mental overload and role strain, including unique challenges facing women as they age, demands and costs of caregiving for children or family members, professional workplace demands, financial insecurity, and social media and its impact on perfectionism while juggling it all.
